Today I had the opportunity to go by the NBC Studio here in Charlotte, NC and talk with Michelle Boudin about a recent event where a parent assaulted a police officer. After reviewing the video clip a few times it made me realize how a poor thirty second decision by a dad will now negatively affect literally thousands of other athletes and their parents here in Mecklenburg County. There are obviously many more obvious thoughts about this unfortunate event. At the end of the day, what needs to be done is to take a proactive approach to helping parents build the skills they need to be the parent that their child needs them to be both on and off the court.
